Rachel Stepp, 93, of the Pettigrew community died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at the Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 26, 1915, at Tecumseh, Okla., to Jobe and Lizza Brison Bohannon. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Home Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jubal Stepp, and a son, Charles "Joe" Stepp.

Survivors include two daughters, Fern Williams of Lincoln and Fawn Newton of Torrance, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. Arrangement Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville. A graveside service was held Saturday at the Radford-Freewill Cemetery near the Red Star community with Larry Johnson officiating. JANNA POWELL Janna Glennis Rice Powell, 45, of Johnson died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009.

She was born Dec. 7, 1963, in Fayetteville to M a r v i n and Janice Ann Calvert Rice. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Prairie Grove and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Powell of Jupiter, Fla.; three daughters, Leann Renae Cook of Prairie Grove, Stephanie Jana Higby of Elkins and Adrianne Michale Powell of Johnson; parents, Marvin and Janice Rice of Farmington; a brother, Vance Rice of Farmington; and three grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

A funeral service was held Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove with Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial was in Sharp Cemetery near Prairie Grove.

CHRISTINE R. WILLIAMS Christine Rudkin Williams of Belle Plaine, Kan., age 84, home maker, formerly of Stafford, Kan. and Turon, Kan., died Friday, Sept 4, 2009. Arrangments were by Hat field-Smith Funeral Home, Belle Plaine. A funeral service was held Thursday at Belle Plaine United Methodist Church. A graveside service was held Thursday at Stafford Cemetery in Stafford, Kan.

Christine was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert F. Rudkin and Ollie Williams; parents, Arthur and Luevenia Wiles; and a sister, Marie Chapman.

Survivors include two sons, Terry and wife Connie Rudkin and Franklin and wife Delores Rudkin, all of Belle Plaine, Kan.; brothers, Roy and wife Elinor Wiles and Clarence and wife Sue Wiles of West Fork; sisters, Barbara and husband Jack Carter of Farmington and Shirley Fillmore of Prairie Grove; grandchildren, Tania and husband Eric Roth of Reno, Nev., Kylee Rudkin of Ulysses, Kan., Christopher and wife Lori Rudkin of Goddard, Kan., and Jeremy and wife Andrea Rudkin of San Jose, Calif.

Memorials have been established with Belle Plaine United Methodist Church, 124 E. 10th St., Belle Plaine, KS 67013; and Stafford Church of Christ, P.O. Box 43, Stafford, KS 67578.

WYONA C. BEIGHLEY

Wyona Cornelius Beighley, 85, of Huntsville died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born March 14, 1924, in Cochran County, Texas, to William Harris and Mary Laura Roberts Simmons. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Beighley.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie O'Rouke of Houston and Steve O'Rouke of Imperial, Texas; two daughters, Merlene Jackson of Huntsville and Patricia Alexander of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Joe Don Simmons of San Francisco; six grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Saturday at the Aurora Cemetery in the Aurora community with the Rev. Ken Scarbrough officiating.
